That’s a punch in the mouth. Good. Choke down that dose of reality and get on with it. Don’t let 2016 be a repeat of every single year you can remember. Challenge yourself to live it differently.

We don’t always have what we deserve. Sometimes, you have to take what you get. Sometimes you get what you want later in life, when you don’t need it. It doesn’t make a heck of a lot of sense, so maybe…stop thinking in terms of deserve and not deserve. You’ll certainly start to feel less disappointed.

Shift your view. You can’t make demands on the world to give you what you want. Decide for yourself what you want, and then go get it. Give yourself the power to have and leave everyone else to worry about whether or not you deserve it.
